We were lucky to have a visit from the Science Faculty at QUT. Luisa brought many rock samples, for example – limestone, sandstone, obsidian and granite, for us to study under the microscopes. The students looked at the density and hardness of different minerals. Luisa discussed with the students how rocks are formed and how porous different rocks are. We were able to describe and identify the rock samples.
 
Thanks to the team from QUT for this great science experience.
